NICHOLS, N.Y. – Tioga Downs Casino Resort will launch their new sportsbook on Friday.

It has been a long time coming, but New York will finally have sportsbooks open this week. Multiple casinos are planning to launch their sportsbooks in the next few days. Tioga Downs Casino has shown everyone what their FanDuel Sportsbook will look like.

The Amenities For The FanDuel Sportsbook

There are plenty of amenities put in place for those who visit the new FanDuel Sportsbook. From the start, you will be able to see that there are about 27 televisions around the sportsbook. Each of them will be used to show an ongoing game or display the current odds.

Around the televisions, there is seating for around 50 customers. Seating includes lounge seats and high tables. There are also drink rails available.

SportsBettingNewYork.com knows bettors will have plenty of opportunities to make a wager at the FanDuel Sportsbook. The sportsbook will have eight betting windows available. Customers will be able to ask the staff questions about their potential bets. If customers want privacy or speed, they can use one of the 14 sports betting kiosks.

Unfortunately, mobile sports betting will not be available at this sportsbook. Lawmakers in New York failed to pass legislation that would allow mobile wagering. The state legislature will have to meet again in 2020 to pass mobile sports betting legislation.

Sports Betting Is Coming Soon

Tioga Downs is waiting for the New York Gaming Commission to give the casino its sports betting license. The casino is expecting the commission to give them their license on Monday.

Afterward, the soft launch of the FanDuel Sportsbook will happen on Wednesday. Then the ribbon cutting and the official launch will happen at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The first bet will be made by New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo. Once the Assemblywoman makes her bet, any visitor can place a sports bet.
